Description
Approximately 6.5km or just over 4 miles south west of Skiathos town is the idyllic resort of Kanapitsa. For those interested in Geography, it is the main resort on the Kalamaki Peninsular. No wonder really when you realise that the beautiful sandy beach is raked on a daily basis!!! Boat trips from the beach, and various water sports are on offer here. For those wishing to travel further a field you can elect to travel by water taxi to Skiathos Town from the small marina. Alternatively if you want a day really away from it all, why not hire a boat to take you to one of the many beautiful coves only accessible from the sea. In the evening, relax at one of the small tavernas overlooking the sea. Small hotels and apartments are available which add to the sophisticated ambience of this resort. Transfer times are approximately 25 minutes from Skiathos airport.
