Glyfada lies 3 miles from the airport at Athens and is fastly becoming a booming tourist area. Lying almost under the flight path of incoming aircraft, it has some of the best shopping you'll find any where, with plenty of large malls housing shops such as Benetton and Marks and Spencer. A great choice of hotel and apartment blocks are on offer, but the beaches tend to be quite gritty although they do have a good range of water sports to try. Mini-Golf, Tennis and a Fun Fair are all there for your daytime enjoyment, while at night, the bars, tavernas and discos all spring to life.
