Description
Girona is situated in the north east of Spain. The old town is perched on a hillside and has a maze of cobbled streets to explore. It overlooks the modern commercial city which is divided in two by the river. Girona offers excellent shopping facilities and also has a superb weekly market. Girona airport is approximately 12 kms south of the city and 100 kms north of Barcelona. The Ryan air flights to Girona have made the airport popular and an alternative to Barcelona's airport.
