Description
 Probably the two most popular tourist regions within California are Los Angeles and San Francisco. Widely known as the Golden State, California has a population of over 33 million people, Los Angeles is actually classed as the second biggest city in the USA. Los Angeles (City of Angels) has a reputation as the entertainment capital of the world, well with Hollywood situated there what else could you expect. Los Angeles also has a beautiful coastline with miles of sandy beaches. San Francisco is famous for, amongst other things, the Golden Gate Bridge and cable cars. Extremely popular with tourists San Francisco is recognised as one of the worlds most cosmopolitan cities with its museums, restaurants, shopping and historic sites. Also popular in California is Disneyland (understatement), which lies in Orange County where you can also find excellent beaches and shopping facilities. How many people know the capital of California? Answer - Sacramento. Also worth a mention is San Diego where you will find beautiful beaches, Sea World and a Wild Animal Park. There is very little rain in the summer months, while the average temperature rarely drops below 11C in winter and regularly rises over 22C in summer.
