Blackpool lies in the north west of England on the Fylde Coast in the county of Lancashire and is "Britain's undisputed capital of entertainment". After London, Blackpool is the most popular tourist destination in the whole of England with 6 miles of beach.
Blackpool is the archetypal seaside resort, and something of a British institution. It is certainly not everyone’s idea fun, but there is nothing drab about this thrill seekers’ paradise. The bright lights of the Golden Mile and Blackpool Tower stand out for miles around, and the Pleasure Beach boasts some of the country’s most thrilling rides.
