Description Balos is a beautiful village, simple, friendly and unspoilt. If anyone wants to go to Greece and just have peace & quiet then Balos is perfect. Tucked away on Samos Island’s mountainous south coast, Balos is the quintessential sleepy Greek seaside hamlet, offering all the essential ingredients of a truly relaxing break, calm and safe with out any of the superfluous trimmings of large scale tourism. Balos (meaning “on the sea” in ancient Greek) is a small sea side village, well known from it’s glorious past, for exporting local produce. Today, a tiny village with friendly retired seafarers, a few holiday apartments and alfresco restaurants is an ideal location for summer holidays. Daily fresh seafood is brought in straight from the fishing boats and fresh bread is delivered from the local traditional baker.
