Description A calm resort with a capital on its doorstep – holidays to Alykes give you two resorts for the price of one. Alykes, Alikes, Alykes Potamos or even Potamos – whatever you hear it called, you're talking about the same pretty spot, four kilometres north of Corfu Town. Its jumble of names come from the luscious countryside around it. Alykes, after the salt plains that once brought Corfu's rulers riches. Potamos – meaning river - because this is where the river meets the sea and spills over to feed thriving the wetlands. But that isn't all of Alykes' natural gifts.
