Yialos

Symi is a rocky island with Symi Town being the main tourist area. A quiet and relaxed destination, most accommodation is made up of small apartment and studio blocks, with a limited amount of mini-markets and gift shops to cater for all your holiday needs. The beaches are quite poor, and the night time will have exhausted itself after a few days.

The brochure pictures are true, if you come out of season, but the summer months you need to wear ear protectors as the sound levels and traffic are uncontrolled. There is far too much traffic for this small harbour and the yobs on bikes and in cars...See the full report
