Address: PO Box 999 | Rose Hall (formerly Wyndham), Montego Bay, Jamaica
A rose by any other name just isnt the Rose Hall. Chic, classy and full of charm, this deluxe beachfront gem was once a legendary 18th century sugar plantation, and still evokes the islands historic allure and hospitality. Slap bang on the shores of the beautiful Caribbean Sea - the Rose Hall is cocooned among four hundred acres of lush grounds. A soul-stirring sanctuary, this enchanting resort most certainly leaves the cares of the world behind. Not only will the setting whip your breath away, the luxurious rooms and first-class facilities will also wow the socks off you. Lets begin with Lilliput Beach. Not as small as it sounds, this stunning stretch of porcelain-white sands is a residential beach in the neighbourhood and is right on your doorstep. And whats more – its owned by the hotel, so youre guaranteed your own private piece of paradise. Its hard to resist the water sports on offer here too, from the world-class snorkelling and wind surfing to kayaking and sailing. Pad back up to base and its hard to miss the Caribbeans largest water park. Flit your way between the three terraced lagoon pools, float past trickling waterfalls, shoot down a 280-foot waterslide and chill out on a rubber ring as you drift along the lazy river. If you need to refuel after there are two swim-up pool bars, where you can grab a refreshing drink. Eating here is a delight too and theres a world of flavours to choose from when it comes to both dishes and eateries. From sumptuous dining areas decorated in rich colours to romantic, open-air courtyards to opulent restaurants reminiscent of a Georgian manor house, its all down to a matter of taste. You can even enjoy a delicious meal right on the beach. Then theres the 18-hole championship Cinnamon Hill Ocean Golf Course. Designed by Robert Von Hagge and one of Jamaicas top courses, hit the links and practise your swing on greens and fairways thatll take your breath away. For the ultimate Caribbean getaway – try this tropical treasure for size. Please note: not all guests are staying on an All Inclusive basis. | |
