Vallemar Hotel

Puerto de la Cruz lies on the north west coast about 60 miles from the airport, and is regarded as the cooler and greener side of the island. Having developed rapidly, there are hotels and apartment blocks galore, with some very good four star ones to be found. Quite a large town, the banana plantations, terraced gardens and promenade are the main attractions of the resort as the beaches are small and made up of dark volcanic sand, but they do provide a variety of water sports for you to try. The shopping is excellent with an open-air market and enough gift shops and supermarkets to cater for all of your holiday needs. This is the best place on the island to go for night life with it's huge choice of pubs, music bars and some discos.
