Limassol lies on the south coast in between both Larnaca and Paphos airports. Backed by the Troodos Mountains, this is the largest resort on the island, and the 4 mile centre area has a wide range of accommodation on offered, from luxury hotels to middle class apartment blocks. The beaches are made up of a dark sand, but do have an extensive amount of water sports to try, while there are so many souvenir and gift shops to visit, you'll be spoilt for choice. Night time sees the main entertainment area of Potamos Yermasoyias spring to life, as numerous bars, tavernas and discos will have you reaching for the ear plugs as you stroll along the promenade.
