| Malaysia is located in the heart of Southeast Asia, slightly north of the Equator. Consisting of 127,000 sq. miles, it has Thailand and Burma to the north and Singapore and Indonesia to the south. Malaysia is one of the most pleasant, hassle-free countries to visit in south-east Asia, it has a multi racial population made up of Malay, Chinese, and Indian. Most visitors to Malaysia stick to the Peninsula, where you will find the capital of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur which has a population of over 1 million people. Malaysia also boasts some beautiful white sandy beaches and clear coral filled waters, particularly on the eastern coast of the peninsula. Malaysia is hot and humid all year. Temperatures are usually between 22-32°C and humidity is usually 90 per cent. The region has a monsoonal climate, but only the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia has a real rainy season between November and January. | |
