The Riu Vistamar hotel is uniquely situated on a cliff top offering magnificent views of the ocean and sandy Amadores beach. The location creates an ideal atmosphere for enjoying an evening meal or drink overlooking the sea. A good choice of activities are available by day and there is also a daytime and evening entertainment programme. The Riu Vistamar is located 900m to the beach, 2km from Puerto Rico, 900m from various shops, 45km from the airport and 100m from a bus stop. Rooms at the Riu Vistamar have a bathroom with bidet, hairdryer, carpeted floor, telephone, air conditioning, mini-fridge, satellite TV, in-room safe and a balcony or terrace. Facilities at the Riu Vistamar include a card games area and terrace, two swimming pools heated in winter, sun beds, parasols and towels by the pool area, childrens swimming pool heated in winter, changing rooms, Sun terrace, hairdresser, complimentary gym, massage, RiuLand kids' club, a small children’s playground and various water sports are on offer from local providers on Puerto Rico beach as well as a daily entertainment programme with evening shows.

I think the Riu chain of hotels are always spot on, and the Riu Vistamar in Amadores was no exception.
After reading the reviews, we asked them for a high floor and the view was fab.

The Riu Vistamar is situated on top of a cliff (as are most of the hotels) and is divided into 9 floors. Not ideal if you have mobility problems however there were a few guests in wheelchairs and they didnt seem to have any difficulties as there are ...See the full report
