Spent a fortnight at the Funana in March. Food was good with a varied selection, our room was clean and we had no problems with anything going missing.
We only saw one dog in the whole of our stay.

Stayed in Garopa 29th sep until 6th oct. Never ever will we return to this hotel, food was not up to to normal RIU standards. Crockery wanted replacing to many crack an chips in them, chef on hot food in mornings, veryyyyyy rude.

Hotel the only thing available on a wasteland/building site.
The landscape horrendous absolutely nothing to do outside of the hotel two or three bars in a shanty town which were dirty and very expensive.

Read quite a few reports after booking but personally no complaints, so need not of worried. The Riu Garopa Funana hotel was worth its 5* rating, the rooms were of a high standard, cleaned daily and the food was excellent.

Really enjoyed despite a lot of negative views prior to the holiday. Weather hot with fantastic beach and sea. Food great with a great choice and plenty of it all day long and drinks ? What more can I say?

Excellent holiday, not much to do - very small island. This is a go to relax holiday! Fantatsic hotel - good food, clean, friendly. Eve entertainment was abismal - very insulting. Def a 5 star rating! Would recommend to friends and family.
