The former accommodation used by the German football team during the 2004 European Cup is a luxury hotel nestled amidst 20 hectares that has pine forests dotted throughout its gardens. Fine sand Praia do Garrão is approximately 800 m from the hotel (not maintained during the winter) there is a daily hotel bus service to Vale do Lobo (about 6 km away) as well as a bus service to the beach during the peak season (June until September). There are scores of shops, bar and nightclubs as well as an excellent connection to the public transport network to be found just 2 km from the hotel. Faro airport is 20 km away.
