Quinta da Praia

Alvor lies at the west end of the Algarve, about 44 miles from the airport. Suffering from continuous development, some luxury 5 star hotels can be found here, with enough self-catering blocks to satisfy those looking for some decent budget accommodation. Shopping is quite poor, with the hotels having their own souvenir and gift shops that tend to be expensive. With over 4 miles of wide sandy beach to pass the day away on, for the more adventurous there is also a golf course and aquapark within easy reach of the centre. The Torralta holiday village complex has a huge amount of bars and pubs to keep you going throughout the night, with a disco for those who want to party until dawn.
