Laganas is only 3 miles from the airport and is the most popular resort on the island. A massive amount of self-catering apartments and some decent hotels can be found here as the fantastic 5 mile long stretch of beach is probably the best you will find in the area. With lots of water sports to offer, and a vast number of tourist shops, there's always plenty to do during the day. This is, however, a place to come to for the young, free and single, as it's at night the numerous bars, discos and tavernas spring into life. | |

Stayed in the Pythari Apartments for one week June 12th – June 19th.
The Pythari Apartments are really nice, the gardens they are set out in and the pool area really are top notch.

Accommodation was clean and comfortable, although basic but was expected as in Greece.
Far enough away from the lively resort centre so it did not bother us, but close enough to stagger home too!
