Only 6 miles from the charming medieval town of Rye, this sweet little cottage has been converted from stables, and provides very comfortable accommodation. In a secluded setting, with lovely views over the Sussex countryside, it is beamed throughout and attractively furnished, and provides an excellent base for touring the area. Rye, with its cobbled streets and Lamb House, home of author Henry James, the historic port of Hastings with its Sealife Centre, Battle Abbey and 14th century Bodiam Castle (N.T.) are all within 10 miles. Golf, riding and fishing nearby. Shop and pub, 2 miles. | |
