The Palma Rima is a bright and colourful hotel, popular with English guests looking for a fun holiday which represents excellent value for money. Located midway between the tourist areas of Kotu and Kololi, the area outside the Palma Rima boasts a number of restaurants and bars. The beach is a short walk of a few hundred metres away where there are a number of beach bars, sun loungers and sun shades. On the way you will pass Luigi's, renowned for their great home made ice cream.
Rooms at the Palma Rima have Twin beds, Shower and wc, Fan, fridge and Air-conditioning.
Facilities at the Palma Rima include a Swimming pool, Table tennis, Pool table, Tennis court, Volleyball, Water polo, Giant chess, Gym, Aqua-aerobics, Disco and Regular day and evening entertainment.

Palma Rima is a reasonable standard and makes a good central location.
The staff are mostly helpful and friendly and a strong feature is a huge, clean swimming pool apparently one of the biggest in the Gambia.

To be quite frank, this was a school trip. We had 12 students and 6 teachers. Everyone really enjoyed our holiday and have all volenteered to travel again next year to the Gambia. But ONLY if we agreed to stay at the Palma Rima.

One has to remember that this is Africa and there are limits that are to be expected however, with tourism being the main industry then by now the standards should have risen.
