Palazzo SantAngelo sul Canal Grande is a superbly located luxury hotel on Venices Grand Canal - the major thoroughfare of this fascinating city. As you walk around Venice you feel the frisson of déja vu; at every turn there is a painting you have seen before. Step onto the balcony of your room in Palazzo SantAngelo, for example, and there it is - a Canaletto! The entrance to Palazzo SantAngelo faces the canal with direct access to the vaporetti and gondolas. Palazzo SantAngelo sul Canal Grande is a charming three-story house, part of the legacy of Venice and now a boutique hotel, magnificently restored and sumptuously furnished. The ornate sitting room even has its original Palladian floor and three great picture windows overlooking the classic beauty of the buildings across the canal. In fact, all the rooms reflect the nobility of the city: silk fabrics, antique furnishings, red and gold wall coverings. In each of the 12 guest rooms and 14 suites you will find Carrara and Alpine marble bathrooms. Top quality hotel, right on the Grand canal with a water taxi stop outside.
You can get cheaper hotels, some very nice, try the Lido for example. However, for quality, class and location this must take some beating.See the full report
