Vassilikos lies about 12 miles from the airport on the south coast of the island, and with a great amount of self-catering and a couple of good hotels on offer, is a large but well spread out resort. The fantastic sandy beaches are the best you will find anywhere, and there's plenty of water sports to try. Shopping, however, is quite limited, but there are enough bars and the odd disco to provide a reasonable night out.
