Playa del Ingles lies about 18 miles from the airport at Las Palmas, and has one of the densest amounts of accommodation blocks, restaurants and bars you will find anywhere on the island. If your looking for good sandy beaches offering a large variety of water sports, this is the place to be. The downside is that they get very crowded, but a short walk along the front will bring you to the quieter area of San Augustin. Dozens of commercial centres and the area known as the Kasbah, offer you plenty of gift ideas and duty free. Although there are a few good quality hotels, most of accommodation consists of apartment blocks from where you can sample the delights of the hundreds of bars, clubs and the casino. |
