C'an Pastilla is on the south coast of the bay of Palma about 1 mile from the airport. There are some decent hotels and apartments on offer with a distinct British flavour to them. The beach is small, but sandy, and there's lots of water sports to keep you busy. A better beach at the marina, houses yachts and small boats that are a feature of the resort. A large hypermarket, for those who can't find what they want in the tourist and gift shops at the port area, it is quite close to the airport and there are markets on Monday and Thursday in the centre. Night life tends to be provided by the hotels and bars, as this is a reasonably peaceful destination that tends to favour a family or older type of market.
