We stayed at Marina View for 2 weeks in July 2007. Having read the other reviews of the property, I agree with all of them bar one. I"ll leave you to guess but suffice to say that we have already enquired with the owners re availability for 2008.

Best holiday for years! Wonderful apartment; wonderful views.
I don’t usually write holiday reviews – this is a first! But after reading the comments from High Wycombe, I felt I had no option but to redress an injustice.

| Located on a lagoon like bay, surrounded by the Taurus Mountains, approx 40 miles from Dalyan airport. No beach in the resort to speak of, the nearest being in Calis 3 miles away. In the busy centre lies the fishing port and marina, here is the long working quay perfect for long evening strolls. The cobbled stone streets are strewn with carved sarcophagi and the cliffs above are home to the tombs of the Lycians. There is also a covered market, with all the usual fake designer labels. Other shopping opportunities include jewellery, leather, and handicraft shops situated in the pedestrianised area. Entertainment during the day could include visits to the ruined fortress of the Knights Templar, Turkish baths and massage. Through the evening excellent restaurant where you can taste Turkish meze, Indian, and Chinese cuisine. Later a good selection of bars, discos and karaoke bars. Local excursions include trips to Dalyan turtle beach, Xanthos, Pinara, Patara and Sidyma. Would suit those preferring an authentic atmosphere, town based or sailing enthusiasts | |
