A cruise down the Nile River aboard the M.S. Da Vinci is a wonderful way to discover the jewels of Egypt. Once the playground of the ancient pharaohs, the River Nile flows north from Aswan, past Luxor's many temples and through the capital Cairo until it finally reaches the Mediterranean Sea near Alexandria. As you float along the river you can laze on the deck and take in views of the small villages and ancient monuments that are dotted along the riverbank in front of a dramatic desert backdrop. A Nile Cruise really is an experience of a lifetime. Cabins on the M.S. Da Vinci are bright and airy with twin or double beds and have a private shower, small bath, wc, hairdryer, individually controlled air conditioning, an internal telephone, taped music, fridge, satellite TV, a table and two chairs and a large window. Facilities on the M.S. Da Vinci include a swimming pool, sun beds, parasols, pool table, library area with a small selection of books and where you can play a relaxing game of cards, backgammon or chess, be pampered by taking a massage in a secluded open air area on the Sun Deck, small gift shop, a large lounge with satillite TV, safety deposit boxes are available at reception free of charge, currency exchange and a full evening entertainment programme that includes occasional dancing and theme nights which include a Galabeya Egyptian night, a Nubian folklore evening and belly dancing.
