Address: Lydia Hotel. Marmaris, Turkey
The Lydia Hotel is in Marmaris, which lies almost central of Bodrum and Dalaman airports (about 70 miles), and has it's own castle and harbour. The beach is quite poor, with the best section getting very packed during the peak season. with plenty of modern hotels, with apartment blocks springing up all over the place, it's important to get a room with a view away from the road, as noise and dust can be a big problem. There's a market in the town on a Friday, to supplement the already ample amount of shops for you to enjoy, while the night brings a lively and exiting array of bars, discos and night-clubs to keep you busy 'till the early hours of the morning.
