| Las Vegas is famous for its casinos, luxury hotels and entertainment which line the Strip and Paradise Boulevard. The main industries in Las Vegas are tourism and gambling, with world championship boxing matches also featuring regularly. There is luxury hotel after hotel, complete with their casinos, night clubs and other lavish facilities, for tourists to choose from. For sun seekers Las Vegas makes an ideal destination as there is year round sunshine, very little rainfall and temperatures hitting 40C in July. | |

We stayed at the Luxor Hotel on 1, 2 and 3 January 2005, having spent 30 and 31 December 2004 at the Circus Circus, where we saw in the New Year outside the hotel on the Strip.

We arranged this holiday ourselves, staying also in Los Angeles and San Francisco. Las Vegas is wonderful and so is the Luxor. Plenty to do - wish we had stayed longer than 4 days. Will definitely go back, but may try a different Hotel next time.See the full report
