Address: Avenida Grandes Playas s/n | Corralejo, Fuerteventura, Canary Islands 35660, Spain
The resort of Corralejo is located on the North tip of Fuerteventura, facing the little islet of Los Lobos. Corralejo is roughly 2 miles square, making it the largest resort on the island. At heart Corralejo is still a fishing village, however there are many new buildings behind and to the side of the resort. Along the waterfront there is a pleasant promenade that is lined with cafes and restaurants. The beaches in Corralejo are the resorts major attraction. It has 7 miles of fine sand starting 2 miles outside of the Corralejo, with some smaller bays along the coast. The waters here are clear and an intense shade of blue. They are, however, affected by currents and therefore unsuitable for small children. The towns beaches are somewhat more sheltered and provide safer areas for children, most of these however have a band of volcanic rock along the shoreline so care must be taken. |
