Le Sands

Rhodes Town lies on the northern tip of the island about 10 miles from the airport. This is the largest resort, with two centres. The commercial one is newly developed and has a pretty harbour, while the old walled city, is a maze of streets you can get quite easily lost in. I know, because I did. A wide choice of hotels can be found here, and the two beaches are made up of sand and shingle. Shopping is excellent, with everything from Marks and Spencers to the usual tourist shops, and the commercial centre comes alive at night with discos, bars and even a casino.
