Egypt is located in northern Africa, and borders Sudan, Libya and Israel, as well as the Mediterranean and Red Sea. Covering an area of over 1 million square kilometres, Egypt is home to over 78.8 million people, making it the sixteenth most populous country in the world. Despite the enormous area covered by Egypt, the vast majority of this land is barren desert and largely uninhabited. Instead, the majority of the 78.8 million population live near the fertile land alongside the River Nile.

I agree with previous correspondets about this hotel which is now called The Steigenberger Nile Palace. Good hotel in good location friendly staff etc etc but I would advise anyone thinking of staying there to first check whether the "dockyard" next...See the full report
