Mastihari is another of the windier resorts, and lies about 6 miles from the airport at Antimakhia. A quiet and more relaxing type of holiday can be had here, as this was once a small fishing village and is still at the development stage. The odd hotel and various apartment blocks are spread all over the area, but the shopping is limited and it's best to get a bus into Kos. Good stretches of long sandy beach are available, but the night life is virtually non-existent.
