Arriving at this hotel, youd be forgiven for thinking youve landed on the set of a particularly glamorous James Bond film. The Iberostar Costa Dorada is all about gently swaying palm trees, gorgeous golden sands and electric-blue seas. The only thing missing is Ursula Andres rising up out of the water! You get the picture, though - this is one gorgeous seaside retreat with a fantastic beachfront location. But theres more to it than this. A whole lot more. The grounds are amazing. Cue exotic flowers, splashing fountains and pink flamingos. Then theres the huge swimming pool. Surrounded by palms, it looks like a hideaway tropical lagoon. Completing this idyllic picture is the hotel itself. Imagine a thatched jungle village but fitted out with all mod-cons and youre some way to visualising it. Inside, its just as charming, with rooms decked out in snazzy Caribbean colours to really get you in that holiday mood – bright aquamarine, sunny yellow and deep sea blue. Theres plenty to do here, too. Slap on a headband and make like Tim Henman down on the tennis courts. Or pop on your pumps and join in a game of basketball. Worked up an appetite? Then youre in good hands. The food at the Iberostar Costa Dorada is the talk of the town. The only problem is deciding what to eat. A roast from the carvery? Something light from the pasta buffet, maybe? Or a slap up meal at the Tropical a la carte restaurant? Whatever you choose, one things for sure – at the Iberostar Costa Dorada, youll want for nothing. |
