| Mellieha Bay lies on the northern side of the island about 15 miles from the airport, with Ramla and Paradise bays situated either side of it. The hilltop location winds down to a great variety of shops to cater for all your holiday needs, while Paradise and Ramla have virtually none whatsoever. With a large hotel each at Paradise and Ramla, the beaches are very good but there's very little to do day or night, apart from the entertainment provided by the hotels. The beach at Mellieha is the largest on the island, and has enough water sports to keep you occupied throughout the day, but can become crowded during the high season. Some bars and tavernas provide most of the evening entertainment, with the rest supplied by the hotels. | |
