The Hotel Planamar is a modern resort hotel located 50 metres from the sandy beach on the Costa Maresme, 300 metres from Malgrat de Mar town centre. Malgrat de Mar was originally a farming village, but all that remains of Malgrat's former existence is an old centre with a church, small square, town hall and daily vegetable market. There are plenty of boutiques in the town, especially for cheap clothing, and some local handiwork and crafts.
Guestrooms at the Hotel Planamar have sea-view balconies and feature air conditioning, safes, satellite TV, telephone and maid service.
Facilities at the Hotel Planamar include a Swimming pool, poolside bar, bar, television room, sauna, fitness room and a games room.
