Capri lies in the bay of Naples, and is reached by ferry boat from Sorrento which is about 8 miles away. The rugged coastline on this tiny island has many bays, but they're not really sandy, although they do offer a good amount of water sports for you to try. Very hilly, taxis or buses are really the only way to get around the island, and a trip to the top is well worth it for the views alone. Very up-market, the hotels and villas transport your luggage from the harbour to save you the effort. International boutiques, designer shops and fine jewellers can be found here in abundance, so don't expect to find a bargain. At night the sophisticated clubs, music bars and cafes will ensure that your credit card will take a real hamme | |
