Good location and very clean, no daytime activities, food in restaurant was only lukewarm at every meal, not a big choice of menu.

The Hotel is situated on the upper side of a busy main road. We stayed in a (75 Euro"s /£50 per room per night) very comfortable small suite with a fridge/Minibar Sat TV/etc and a balcony which had fine views of Funchal and the big Hotels on the oth...See the full report

The four star Hotel Girassol is situated in the tourist area of Funchal, 200 metres away from the Lido complex, 2 km from the centre of the town and about 500 meters from the sea. The hotel is on a flat part of the main coast road to Funchal, across the road from the sea, not far from the Lido and close to some shops, bars and restaurants and is suitable for all ages, centrally located and good value for money accommodation.
