The four star El Pinar Hotel is a stylish and contemporary establishment that is situated in Torremolinos, just a short drive from the resort center, where there are plenty shops, bars, restaurants and some of the Costa del Sol's most popular nightspots. Torremolinos itself has a choice of three 18-hole golf courses within easy reach, ideal for beginners and experts alike, keen to enjoy a round in the sun, and many other sports, such as tennis clubs and a 10-pin bowling alley. The resort is home to a large sports stadium, regularly hosting international events. Bikes can be hired, for those looking to venture out into the countryside and escape the hustle and bustle of the resort. Fiestas are a regular event all over Spain, with Torremolinos holding its own local celebrations. After fiestas for the Virgin of Carmen in July, and Tourist Day in early September, the largest fiestas in Torremolinos occur in late September.
