| The Bahamas consists of hundreds of low-lying islands, mostly islets and rocks, extending over 500 miles south from Florida in the USA. The three islands best known with tourists are New Providence Island, Paradise Island and Grand Bahama Island. A toll bridge links Paradise Island and New Providence Island where the capital Nassau is situated. Nassau is old fashioned looking with its white and pink buildings and hosts two casinos as well as the bustling 'straw market'. The white sandy beaches in the Bahamas are magnificent as are the clear colourful waters that surround the islands. During the day, in the popular resorts, many water sports can be found. In the evenings there are many restaurants, bars and night-clubs to frequent. The climate is perfect for sun lovers with an average 8 hours sun every day all year round. This is complimented by average temperatures of between 20C (January) - 30C (July). | |

This place is a complete waste of anybodys money for a holiday in paradise. The hotel was full of drunken american youths on spring vacation they ran riot every night, smashed a glass door by the pool, this was not replaced untill the following week....See the full report

The Holiday Inn sunspree is a nice hotel and the bahamas is amazing, i swam with dolphins! I recommend visiting the Atlantis hotel on paradise island as that is fantastic. Just be aware that the holiday inn is only a three star, not a luxury hotel. t...See the full report
