Very nice resort. Hotel situated half way up hillside, quite far from beach but near to main shopping centre and nightlife. Hotel cleanliness poor (we had a broken window), staff and reps not very helpfull. This resort does have a lot of cockroaches.See the full report

The two key Heliomar Apartments are situated some 800 metres from the beach and 150 metres from the centre of Puerto Rico, on the south western coast of Gran Canaria, about 29 miles from the airport. The accommodation at the two storey Heliomar Apartments comprises 32 two bed roomed and 56 one bed roomed apartments, each having a private bathroom and shower, a kitchenette, a lounge (with a sofa bed) and a balcony or terrace. Each apartment is equipped with pay to view television and a rental safety deposit box. The apartments are cleaned five times per week, the towels changed twice and bed linen changed once per week. The facilities at the apartments include a restaurant, a pool side snack bar, two swimming pools (one heated in winter), a childrens play area, a laundry, a tennis court, a squash court and a minimarket. Some entertainment is provided in the summer. There are many shops, bars and restaurants nearby. | |
