Harbour Resort

The Bahamas consists of hundreds of low-lying islands, mostly islets and rocks, extending over 500 miles south from Florida in the USA. The three islands best known with tourists are New Providence Island, Paradise Island and Grand Bahama Island. A toll bridge links Paradise Island and New Providence Island where the capital Nassau is situated. Nassau is old fashioned looking with its white and pink buildings and hosts two casinos as well as the bustling 'straw market'. The white sandy beaches in the Bahamas are magnificent as are the clear colourful waters that surround the islands. During the day, in the popular resorts, many water sports can be found. In the evenings there are many restaurants, bars and night-clubs to frequent. The climate is perfect for sun lovers with an average 8 hours sun every day all year round. This is complimented by average temperatures of between 20C (January) - 30C (July).

I was bitterly dissapointed in the Paradise Island Harbour Resort. It was supposed to be the holiday of a lifetime in the Bahamas for my family. It turned out to be a below average, damp, musty, rusty, worn out hotel. A poor view of a construction...See the full report
