When we turned up at the holiday complex and where told not given a mp where to go we drove to the chalets, a cross between butlins circa 1950 to tenko/coldidz.

| Dawlish is a pretty resort, on the south Devon coastline, between the main holiday destination of Torquay and the city of Exeter. The town's location makes it the ideal base for touring this idyllic part of the country. The town itself has a quiet, relaxing feel to it - full of charm and loaded with atmosphere. Dawlish has a good selection of cafes, inns, restaurants, galleries, and shops and though much of the centre has been commercialized, you can still find some fine examples of Regency Period buildings. Dawlish is relaxing, yet it still bristles with activity. The town has a comprehensive programme of entertainments and events through out the summer months, based around the band stand in the park. With a theatre, museum and art gallery, along with an obstacle golf course, fishing and boating trips, Dawlish offers something for everyone. | |
