New Zealand is 1200 miles Southeast of Australia and consists of two major islands, the North Island and the South Island, which are separated by the Cook Strait. Wellington is the capital city but Auckland is the largest. New Zealand currently has very little crime and its tourism industry is currently booming, not surprising considering the amount of natural beauty on offer. For the more daring, not content with the spectacular scenery, there is bungee jumping, scuba diving and whitewater rafting.
