Hungary has a population of just over 10million people. The capital city of Budapest can be found on one of the most beautiful areas of the Danube, and is quite lively. Budapest itself is split into two areas, Buda and Pest! Buda is the original 'old town' with many medieval buildings and cobbled streets, whereas Pest hosts the commercial centre of the city. A popular tourist resort further upstream from Budapest is Visegrad. The weather in Hungary can be very warm throughout the summer but cold in winter.
