Kalithea is on the Kassandra peninsula about 55 miles from the airport. Apart from the two high class hotels in the resort, most of the other accommodation on offer tends to be made up of private villas and apartment blocks. The beach is wide, and with a mixture of fine and coarse sand, is home to a variety of water sports. Shopping facilities are average, and consist of the usual gift and trinket shops, while at night the resort has some good music bars with the hotels providing the rest.
