Varca: South Goa is the ideal place if you are looking for a peaceful holiday with a laid-back pace. Some of the finest beaches in the region skirt the coast with attractive Portuguese-style villages scattered through the hillsides. The hotels are dotted along the golden sands, but are more isolated, exuding less of a resort atmosphere with entertainment revolving mainly around the hotels. It is here that you will find some of the best seafood cuisine in Goa and excellent shops and markets of Margao
