| La Plagne in France is one of the biggest ski and snowboarding areas in the world; it makes a great destination for a family ski holiday or for a mixed ability group skiing holiday. The Vanoise Express cable car links it to Les Arcs to form the combined ski area Paradiski. The ski area is enormous in both vertical range and extent. The first stop on the breathtaking ride to the glacier is Roche de Mio (2700m), from where even inexperienced skiers can enjoy genuinely long runs home. Adventurous intermediates can ski the beautiful itinerary route to Les Bauches, and on to Les Arcs. Artificial walls and natural waterfalls to practice ice climbing is something that’s a must to try out there. In addition, everything else you might wish for: ice rinks, youth clubs, dog sled rides, swimming pools, fitness centers, snow shoe walks, cross country skiing, themed walks and paths, paragliding, hang gliding, squash, an indoor climbing wall, skidoo rides, carting, paint ball and even bowling.
