Only 150m from the centre of the thriving resort of Argassi, which boasts a number of bars, restaurants, supermarkets, gift shops and more, The Captain’s Hotel, the first of the Xenos Group Hotels to be built, opened for business over two decades ago in 1981. At the beginning of 2005 the hotel was totally renovated, modernizing the reception and restaurant and updating the rooms for the comfort of guests. The Commodore Hotel is the second and largest to be built of the Argassi complex of Xenos Group Hotels. It is a perfect location for those who prefer quiet, relaxing surroundings, although the lobby bar area appeals to most with its lively atmosphere. Beside it and directly opposite the Captain’s, the Admiral Hotel opened for business in 1993, the third of the Xenos Group Hotels to be built in the resort. The second largest of the three hotels in Argassi prides itself on its suitability for family holidays with activities for children and parents alike. Since their opening day all three have remained a very popular choice for holidaymakers. The Captain’s Hotel has 77 rooms in total, accommodating up to 231 guests. They all include a balcony, offering some of the best views in Zante from the hilltop to the resort and beach below which add to the romance of honeymooners and couples enjoying the evening sunsets from their balconies. | |

The hotel was very good but it was up a steep hill. It was well maintained and kept clean.

The island of Zante is beautiful and Argassi has its own unique culture i admitt probably more for the livelier couples or groups however, not as lively as laganas which is a great combination.

I really enjoyed this holiday. It was our first visit to a Greek Island and we all had a good time. I wouldn"t necessarily stay in Argassi again as I like to try out new places but would definitely go back to Greece.
