San Francesco is a large, very well organised site situated to the west of the Simione peninsula on the southeast shores of Lake Garda. The pitches are generally on flat gravel and sand and enjoy shade from mature trees. There are three choices of pitch of different sizes with either 3A or 6A electricity, 35 are fully serviced. They are marked by stones but there is no division between them. A wooded beach area of about 400 metres on the lake is used for watersports and there is a jetty for boating. There are delightful lake views from the restarant and terrace. There is also a new shopping mall with games area, bazaar and takeaway. The sports centre, pools and entertainment area are all located across a busy road away from the pitches and safely accessed by a tunnel. As with most sites in Italy, reception closes for siesta, but there is a waiting area with electricity. This is a good quality site which is great for families.
