Address: Avinguda de Montecarlo, Benidorm 03500, Spain
Benidorm , a sleepy fishing village 50 years ago, lies just over 35 miles from the airport of Alicante. Probably the most famous resort in the world, it sits below a range of mountains and has some of the best beaches in Spain if you like them sandy and very crowded. To the east is the fabulous Levante beach, all 1.5 miles of it, and to the west, the 2 mile stretch of the Poniente beach. With it's high rise hotel and apartment blocks, the resort caters for just about every taste young and old. There are no shortage of souvenir shops and an open air market to suit all pockets. Daytime activities include water-skiing, fishing and scuba diving, while the night brings an abundance of bars, amusement arcades, discos and even a casino. |
