Just read reports of this hotel makes me wander what people want from a 2* hotel yes the carpets where a bit thredbare but i only want to walk up-stairs not lie on them.
The rooms where cleaned every day beds made etc.

The Avalon is family run and the largest independent hotel in Whitby, offering 30 uniquely decorated en-suite rooms, which all have superb sea views. Bedrooms are also well equipped with generous hospitality trays, ironing facilities and colour tv. We also have several honeymoon suites with four poster beds. Guests can relax in our spacious lounge, which again has those superb sea views, and enjoy our hearty Yorkshire Breakfasts in our light and airy dining area. We also have a well stocked in-house bar. School and coach parties are most welcome, and we take care to cater for special diets. | |
